upgrading adventures . . . one swing at a time!

Milwaukie Bay Park is on hold. Over the past few years, we have focused our fundraising efforts on supporting development of the nature play area. Our Bring Play to Milwaukie Bay campaign created a lot of excitement and support and by 2021, we raised more than $60,000 for construction. Clackamas County Commissioners placed a hold on the MBP project, however, stalling construction for the foreseeable future.

The Milwaukie Parks Foundation is committed to supporting the completion of MBP! All money raised for this park has been set aside and will remain in a high yield savings account dedicated to MBP until the project moves forward again.

As a result, we are turning our attention to Milwaukie’s existing parks, many of which are in dire need of significant improvement. With some playground equipment over 30 years old and a million-dollar maintenance backlog, we are raising money to upgrade and improve the safety of Milwaukie’s playgrounds. We need your help! With his $250 donation, Milwaukie resident Jacob is a Playground Champion! Will you join him?!

If you’re a fan of Milwaukie’s parks, we’d like to hear from you! Our survey is NOT meant to duplicate the big district-wide survey conducted over the summer in connection with the NCPRD System Plan. Rather, we seek to drill a little deeper specifically into Milwaukie parks and how Milwaukie residents use them
